BIG BEND

This bizarre, desolate landscape is teeming with life if you would just stop for a moment to suffer the blistering heat and tune in. Bugs crawl, plants spike, water trickles somehow, somewhere - nature always finds its rhythm.

There’s also nothing more romantic than a Mexican man and his donkey serenading you from across the Rio Grande so you’ll drop dollars into a hat on this side of the world that he’ll illegally swim across to gather when it gets dark and things go bump in the night.

As you drive away from the generosity of land and sky at the end of the day, the sun sets in surround sound and you find you can’t even begin to know how to take it all in.
