POLYNESIAN AIR

It was the strangest little flight.

We were dropped off at the airport which was no larger than convenience store and ordered to step on a scale lugging all our luggage. Seats were assigned according to weight, if you’re going to get on a plane that seats twenty, you’d better believe there’s a serious balancing act going on.

There were no safety instructions, no warning to fasten your seatbelts, and windows that couldn’t close. You felt the plane’s vibrations in your bones and could not help but backseat drive the whole way through.

The flight was all of 30 minutes but crossed the international dateline and took you a day forwards or back.

It was a ride on a flying, time-traveling bus and it was amazing.
